Independent Schools Inspectorate Report
The November 2011 ISI inspection reported the following about the school:
- The overall effectiveness of the EYFS setting is outstanding.
- The quality of provision in the EYFS is outstanding, with a welcoming, interesting and stimulating environment
- Children in the EYFS make excellent progress in relation to their starting points and outcomes are outstanding
- Leadership and management of EYFS at Skippers is outstanding
- Pupils succeed in their academic work because they display excellent attitudes towards their learning
- An effective curriculum, supported by a wide range of extra –curricular activities, matches and trips, enables pupils to gain a broad base of knowledge and skills
- Provision for those pupils with SEND is effective
- Pupils’ behaviour is generally exemplary. They have exceptionally good manners, courtesy, tolerance and respect and strong moral values
- Pupils enjoy excellent relationships with their teachers and each other
- Pupils’ personal development is excellent
- Pupils’ spiritual development is outstanding
- Pupils’ moral development is exceptionally strong
- Pupils have an excellent social awareness
- Outstanding pastoral care is shown by the staff, who are strong role models
- There is strong governance and good leadership and management
- Results in national tests have been excellent overall
- The school promotes excellent links with parents
- Pupils are very well prepared for the next stages of their education
